Some houses have been lived in for five or six years, yet their windows remain as pristine as new; whereas others, after just two or three years, show signs of whitening and fading on the window frames, with patches of discoloration. Clearly, considerable thought was put into choosing the window decorations during the initial decoration, but why do they appear to "age quickly" in terms of their appearance, even though they function perfectly.
